A clean, efficient, simple, lightweight yet powerful dialogue system that allows branching dialogue that can be used for all sorts of games made in C3.

If you're looking for a super easy to understand dialogue template for someone that has little to no experience with this sort of thing (or you just don't want to deal with it 😉), then here ya go! I commented on everything I did in the event sheets and I also tried to forgo some of the more advanced features of C3 for the sake of less experienced users and readability.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You are the blue rectangle. The rectangle on the left will loop the conversation endlessly and the one on the right will remember where you left off should you finish talking to it. There are many other possibilities with this system that can easily be implemented.

CONTROLS:

Arrow Keys: handles movement when not in conversation

Spacebar: start conversation/select

Up/Down Arrows: controls cursor for response selection

Hello, first off thank you for this wonderful dialogue system.

I've been struggling for sometime to create one myself in C3, This engine has met my for my needs for my indie game.

I have one question, is there a way to execute functions and or C3 Code blocks when a certain line in the dialogue system is displayed using this engine?

Actually nevermind I figured it out. :)

oh awesome I'm happy you figured it out! I'm also glad the system is suiting your needs. Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I'd love to check out your game if you want to post a link here :) also, if you have any feedback on how I can make this better feel free to let me know.

No worries, appreciate you following up.

Yeah, Kuddos to you this is a great engine for my game's needs.

I am hoping to have a demo out around 2023 sometime. once that happens, I'll let you know (working a full-time job and potentially a second temporary job in a few months from now while making an indie game project on the side).

In the meantime, I'll let know about any opportunities for improvement here as they come during the development of my game.

yeah I know how that is haha I've got 2 kids myself :) I'll be around and good luck!
